Description:

Wild horse and burros are a legacy of the Spanish explorers and the prospectors that once combed the mountains in search of gold and silver.  Few horses remain from a herd that once numbered almost 40.  A few years ago, the BLM decided to control the burro population by removing all the Jacks (males) and leaving only the Jennys (females).  The next year, we had one of the finest crops of mules west of Missouri!  Be careful, the burros bite and have a kick that can puncture the side of a house.
