While in Florence, I stayed at The Hotel Balestri, just two blocks from The Uffizzi.  The hotel had a small balcony affording a pleasant view.  One morning while I was waiting for my friends to get ready, I took advantage of the quiet early morning and went up to the deck. The light cast a lovely glow over the nearby church towers during the quiet hush of morning.
