Our cruise stopped in Kusadashi, Turkey and we took a tour of Ephesus. It was a cool, crisp morning and a clear blue, cloudless sky. The details of the ruins could only be appreciated by taking close-up photos showing the intricacies of the ceilings and columns. Just thinking about how the ancient people lifted the stones to form these buildings gives a sense of awe that cannot be captured in any photograph. The Library of Celcus was exquisite.
