Description:

I took this picture while visiting my brother and sister-in-law last winter in southern California.  I biked from his apartment in Hermosa beach along the coast to Venice and Santa Monica.  I was taking my time on the pier just taking in the sights when I noticed this pelican sitting perfectly in front of the ferris wheel.
