Description:

On a two day excursion to Galway on the west coast of Ireland I was told that the number one thing to do was see the Aran Islands. The only one that had a ferry schedule that matched was Inis Mor, the largest of all the Irish islands. Upon arriving I was offered a chance to take a bus tour, but I had been told the best way to see the island and get a feel for the culture was to walk the island. It may be the largest but I had the whole day to explore. I got a map and went on my way to walk towards the cliffs, along the way I stumbled upon this almost hidden path. It was a beautiful misty day and a wonderful serene retreat away from all the sites and sounds of civilization, though it all was only a short walk away. It was the perfect excursion for getting away from the constant noise and excitement of town.
