It was the beginning of a new day after the last night of Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. I was walking on the streets of Ipanema, when I looked through the buildings and noticed a very interesting light under the layer of clouds over the ocean. I had my camera with me and even though I was really tired after 4 days of celebrations around the city, that light was too inviting to be ignored. I walked a few blocks until I found myself standing alone on the sands of Ipanema beach. A few minutes later my tenacity was rewarded by the most gorgeous sunrise I had ever seen in Rio. After the night party on the streets, the day party in the skies!
