Description:

This was taken in a Xhosa village of Bulungula, on the Wild Coast of South Africa. These homes are made out of mud with thatch roofs and suit the environment perfectly - keeping them cool in summer and warm in winter. Bulungula is a rural village that, in order to reach, you must drive 2 hours and  then hike for another hour or so. The homes are set against a dramatic backdrop of the Kei River, the Indian Ocean, and rolling green hills.
