• Boat tour of flamingos Celestu

    During our one week relaxing vacation to the Yucatan in Mexico we took a boat tour from Celestun to see the flamingos.  I did not realize flamingos lived wild in Mexico - I only thought they lived wild in Africa.  I didn't think I was going to be able to go on safari in Africa anytime soon, so I was very excited to add a stop in Celestun while on our Mexico trip.  It was a beautiful day.  I was pleasantly surprised all my pictures turned out as well as they did - I was pretty much shooting blind because the sun had washed out my LCD screen, and I could really see much through the viewfinder.  Plus the boat was moving at a fairly quick pace, so I didn't have much confidence regarding my focusing of the camera.  The photo was taken July 3, 2007.

    This is my favorite. In zambaweee Africa They trainer was amazed as they had never seen a lion cub lick a tourist. i didn't even have cologne on. This was the highlight of my trip as I had seen all the wild animals but none licked me and was so comfortable with me. I was asked if I trained lions or worked in a zoo. not even close.

    He is just a big kitty cat. My lion safari after seeing a huge  leopard 20 lions, rare wild dogs,20 lions, giraffs elephants and so much more could not compare to my lion walk tour this was my africa safari in July i took for 18 days.. I just seem to have the big cat very comfortable with 4 of his family around, none of the cubs wanted to leave me when I picked them up

    Me and my lion buddy cub became very close in Zambia Africa.I took this african safari vacation at the end of July and the beginning of August. You would think it was my pet lion cub as the trainers were astonished how this and another cub took a liking to me. This does not happen they say and i just have a way with annimals.

    How would you like to have elephants come by a couple of times a day and drink from your plunge pool? I was changing the batteries in my camera when these elephants stopped by to say hi. I was able to get it together and shoot this photo as the elephants moved one.

    This is one of the most incredible places on earth. The Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge in the South-Western section of the Kruger National Park is a wild game preserve. This is on the border of South Africa and Mozambique. We were lucky to see the “big five”; elephant, rhinoceros, cheetah, Cape Buffalo, and the lion.
