I was drivng a 1965 Chevy, it's in front of the VW, and had to remove both mirrows to get thru the narrow entrance.. Repro from a slide. Best viewed large size.

Schloss (castle) Reichenstein is a castle on the Rhein River in Germany. This picture was taken while on a six hour tour along the Rhine. There are 30 castles and castle ruins along the Rhine in the area around Rhuedesheim and I found Reichenstein to be one of the most attractive viewed from the Rhine. Schloss Reichenstein is estimated to be approximately 1000 years old and is now a hotel complete with a spectacular view and its own ghost stories. Any river tour of this area is well worth it and someday it would be great to stay at this castle-hotel.
Amazing views of Neuschwanstein

Holland isn't the only place with windmills. This particular one I found while walking through a park in Potsdam, Germany. The park was at the edge of town, an area my tourist map did not cover. After wandering through the forest for a while I saw the top of the windmill peeking out from above the trees. The sign in front of it indicated it was no longer in use.
These charming towers make up the city gates in Potsdam, Germany. I saw them at the edge of town and they indicated the end of the city limits. Next to it was a small cafe as indicated by the umbrella and blackboard sign.
I took a walk through a forest in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany and the sun came out just long enough to light up the treetops.
I came across this guy on a farm in Germany. It took about a dozen pictures and a lot of patience to get this one.
