    The little lighthouse that was almost lost. This little gem was scheduled to be torn down, when a man from Saugatuck, Michigan bought it and moved it to his property along the bay in Saugatuck. It has been rebuilt/redone and looks GREAT. What a little beauty !

    This is the house used in the 1968 movie Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen has Det Frank Bullitt. How many of you can remember him parking that bad a## highland green 68 Mustang fastback along the steep hill then walking over the market (see other photo) before going into this house. This house is on Taylor Street at Clay in San Francisco.  Side note: a lot of the in town car chase scenes where filmed up and down Taylor Street on a Sunday morning WITHOUT police consent or a film permit, much to the dismay of local residents.

    This is the market used in the 1968 movie Bullitt, starring Steve McQueen. ( has Det. Frank Bullitt). He parks that ultra cool Mustang across the street and goes into this market to load up on TV diners, then steals a newspaper ( umm borrows a newspaper) from the newspaper machine then goes across Taylor street to his house (see other photo of house). This market is on the corner of Taylor and Clay streets in San Francisco.

    One of two swinging bridges about 3miles off Missouri highway 42, north of Brumley, MO.( central Missouri's Lake Of The Ozarks region). This is the longer of the two (about 220') and they are in use every day. It is a thrill to drive over and stop suddenly about midway and just set there in the car and swing back and forth and side to side. (Not for the faint of heart)

Two weekends in the late summer they have covered bridges festival, where each little town has it's own celebration with craft markets, music, food, etc...  Maps are distributed so you can drive the back roads and find all these wonderful bridges.
