    My husband and I took a 3 hour boat tour on Lake Superior at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Munising, Michigan, to see the eroded  rock formations. Water seeping through the sandstone dissolves minerals which eventually runs down the cliff face, creating beautiful stripes of red, brown, black, turquoise, green, yellow and white.   The cliffs have eroded into magnificent arches and caves all along the shoreline.  This lakeshore is a "must see."
