    • Description:

This is the most wonderful field of water; nothing could be more wonderful than here.” Stone had written the phrase in his journal. There is surrounded by serenity, and this may be the last place designed by the god. What a incredible place!

Lugu Pond is situated between Ninglang Nation in Yunnan Region and Yanyuan Nation in Sichuan Region, about 300km away from Lijiang Town.

Maybe there are not so much individuals know Stone, anticipate you are the ash quality crazy visitors. Some one may occur to listen to about “Rock Line”. Actually, Stone is a botanist and traveler. He is excellent at outside lifestyle. His actions protected all the locations in Yunnan Region. And later, we can study the novel Missing Skyline of Wayne Hilton and the film, which created the globe surprised by Shangri-La.

When looking at the crazy propagate red lie between hills and under the sky with no end. The whole atmosphere produces a atmosphere of relaxing. I seem to comprehend something. Strolling marrage, Mosuo categories, matriarchal community,  Er are all sailing atmosphere. All I am fantasizing for is just here, the incredible lake financial institution. No tale, and do not need any tale.

Here, I do not know how to explain it with planets, as the moments freezing tell better than any terms in my thoughts.

This is Sanggehua, a type of plant increasing beside Lugu Pond. It is so wonderful, genuine, dance with the breeze.

Looking at the far away natural hills in the sunlight coating with the sky, I sensed so relaxed. And the isle in the river, I did not know if it was where Stone resided in.

Actually, there are too many terms of experts described the appeal of Lugu Pond. And the elegance even can not be described with terms. It is really a position that you can not help to shout when you were here.

From Chengdu to Xichan, and to Lige, the bus run categories by categories on the hill. I was so repent that why I lost time on the way.

The islands marked in the river, status in the hills, the little vessel waving on the red water, the town relaxing silently at the lakeside…. All of these are so genuine, relaxing, and images and terms in those days could not tell individuals all about Lugu Pond.

It was already mid-day. On level, my sight even became genuine without plenty of sunset and structures. Clouds sailing above the river seems do not want to keep just as me.

Ha Long Bay (VietnameseVịnh Hạ LongAbout this sound listen, literally: "descending dragon bay") is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, located in Quang Ninh provinceVietnam. Administratively, the bay belongs to Hạ Long City, Cẩm Phả town, and part of Van Don district. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various sizes and shapes. Ha Long Bay is a center of a larger zone which includes Bái Tử Long bay to the northeast, and Cát Bà islands to the southwest. These larger zones share similar geologicalgeographicalgeomorphologicalclimate, and cultural characters.

Ha Long Bay has an area of around 1,553 km2, including 1,960–2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The core of the bay has an area of 334 km2 with a high density of 775 islets.[1] The limestone in this bay has gone through 500 million years of formation in different conditions and environments. The evolution of the karst in this bay has taken 20 million years under the impact of the tropical wet climate.[2] The geo-diversity of the environment in the area has created biodiversity, including a tropical evergreen biosystem, oceanic and sea shore biosystem.[3] Ha Long Bay is home to 14 endemic floral species[4] and 60 endemic faunal species.[5]

Historical research surveys have shown the presence of prehistorical human beings in this area tens of thousands years ago. The successive ancient cultures are the Soi Nhụ culture around 18,000–7000 BC, the Cái Bèo culture 7000–5000 BC[6] and the Hạ Long culture 5,000–3,500 years ago.[7] Hạ Long Bay also marked important events in thehistory of Vietnam with many artifacts found in Bài Thơ Mout, Đầu Gỗ Cave, Bãi Cháy.[7]

500 years ago, Nguyen Trai praised the beauty of Hạ Long Bay in his verse Lộ nhập Vân Đồn, in which he called it "rock wonder in the sky".[8] In 1962, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam listed Hạ Long Bay in the National Relics and Landscapes publication.[9] In 1994, the core zone of Hạ Long Bay was listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site according to criterion vii, and listed for a second time according to criterion viii.[1

    • From: indochinasails
    • Description:
Thanks to its unique beauty, Halong Bay was selected as one of Asia’s top five tropical island paradises which possess the most beautiful sunset.

With this spirit of maritime adventure in mind, CNN asked Herman Ho, Boat Asia 2012 managing director, and Stuart McDonald, founder and editor of Asian travel website, travelfish.org, to give the lowdown on Southeast Asia's most spectacular coastal spots. Vietnam’s Halong Bay was selected in the list of top five tropical island paradises.

Halong Bay in northwestern Vietnam is one of the most stunning boating destinations anywhere in the world, says McDonald.

Comprising a vast coastal waterway of roughly 2,000 islands spread over an area of 1,500 square kilometers, carving out your own sailing space shouldn't be too much of a problem. While tranquil waters year round make sure going for a swim is always a pleasure.

The mysterious limestone caves on Halong Bay's bigger islands and the "incredible sunsets" meanwhile are two sights not to be missed, advises McDonald.

Other tropical island paradises includes Indonesia’s Anambas islands, Thailand’s Koh Chang, Malaysia’s Langkawi and Thailand’s Similan Islands.

It’s normally 40 meters deep, but 73.2 meters deeper somewhere beneath, after Fuxian Lake. Lugu Lake which is narrow in the east and west but broad in the north and south looks like a trapezoid. The water is very clean.

On the Lugu Lake, there are actually 5 small islands all together, including 3 in Yunnan Province and 2 in Sichuan Province. They look like small green boats floating over the lake and also differ from one another. The smaller island among them is the Lige Island near the north of the lake where the ground is flat and houses which are built with wood face towards the lake, with beautiful landscapes around. Located in the middle of the lake, the Tusi Island which is narrow in the east and west but broad in the north and south is 700 meters long and 36 meters high. On the island, there is a very dense forest in the southwest , hillsides in the northeast and also a beach nearby. In addition, a small village is located in the north of the Lugu Lake, surrounded by mountains.

    • Description:
Halong Bay attracts thousands of passengers every month. Nearly five hundred cruises run every day and hundreds of passengers stay on board every night. Halong Bay is famous for its natural beauty and thousands of limestone islands and islets.
When you are on board, you admire the majestic beauty of the Bay but when you GET closer to the limestone islands, discover the beauty yourself, you admire its nature. But… how to get closer? The best way is joining kayaking activity.
      Kayak in Halong Bay?

This is a small, relatively narrow, human-powered boat primarily designed to be manually propelled by means of a double blade paddle.
      How to use a kayak?
Kayaking is generally assumed to be very safe in these calm waters of Halong Bay but there is still some areas and warning that you should avoid and listen to the tour guide. Kayaking is not difficult; however, to enjoy it completely, you need some tip:
Preparation do not skip this stage
      • Suitable clothes: T-shirt and short, swimming suit in the summer; warm clothes in the winter; wet shoes, hat, sunglasses
      • Necessary things: Water, sun cream, dry bag, camera, insect repellent
      • Life vests

Medical box and food (for the long duration)

      • Follow your tour guide: it is very important
      • Listen to the route, time and rules
      • Learn how to use the kayak even it is not your first time kayaking, wear the life vest and use the dry bag
      • Strictly follow the leader (tour guide) about the moving rules
      • Check with your tour guide the weather, tide and wind strength to have the best and safest route.
      • Keep a suitable distance with the others, not too far, keep in sight with the others
      • Keep away from the places which have strong flow, against the wind; take advantage of the wind strength and flow.

      What about the children?

      • Follow the tour guide and their parents
      • Sit still in the kayak, do not move in front of or behind
      • Wear the life vest
      • Wear the hat and sun cream

      Handle unexpected situations:
      • Adjust the speed of the whole group if any of the member is out of sight
      • In case the kayak capsizes, passengers need to swim a bit, and then take the water out of the kayak with the help of the tour guide. He will catch thekayak; take the water out by putting your kayak on his in the T- shape. After that, he will put the kayak back into the water; keep it still so that passengers can be on the kayak again.
      • If there is an expected storm, find the safest place in the sheltered areas, beaches… to avoid the storm. In case passengers are in the middle of the sea and cannot find a safe place, passengers need to be gathered to make a raft
      • If you are not sure about the route you are going, you should keep in touch with the others and paddle around the mountain, you will not be lost. Passengers should know for sure the route, search on the map.
      • It is better if passengers have mobile phone, radio or any means of communication (often for professional kayakers)

It's a magical ride across the magnificent 1000 Islands Bridge near Clayton and Alexandria Bay as it spans the St Lawrence River. The tolls are modest, the view spectacular and depending on which way you are headed, either the US Mainland or Canada will be your destination.

  • A St Lawrence Tug in the 1000 A St Lawrence Tug in the 1000 Islands

    • From: Dudley
    • Description:

Everyday along the St Lawrence Seaway is a new adventure.  Here's a saucy Tug.  At another time world class freighters plow on by and of course fishermen galore.  The waters of the 1000 Islands are near crystal clear after the onslaught of the zebra mussels over the past twenty years.  These waters, which empty one fifth of all the fresh water in the world on into the Atlantic are pristine and Clayton, New York, with its window on the St Lawrence is one of the most delightful villages you'll evee find.
