      Where to Stay:

      Embassy Suites Waikiki Oahu

      Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach

We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath suite at the resort, which included a king bed in one room and two queens in the other. These accommodations were convenient for the six of us to spread out without feeling cramped. According to sales manager, Susan Koehler, "what makes the property stand out from other resorts is our extra space, value, and location”.

Each morning we had complimentary hot breakfast followed by complimentary alcoholicWaikiki Beach beverages at the manager’s reception in the evenings. This was a great prelude to our nights on the town.

The sundeck, Jacuzzi, and pool-side bar are perfect amenities for a chill out session. Some insider tips include checking out their free yoga classes Tuesday and Friday mornings and catching the fireworks that take off from the Hilton Hawaiian Village each Friday.

Other amentities included complimentary WiFi in the lobby, 24-hour fitness center, and heated pool for swimming laps. • Zhongzheng Memorial Hall in Ta Zhongzheng Memorial Hall in Taipei China.

    • From: x123456
    • Description:

With a vast area of one hundred and fifty six thousand square metres,  Zhongzheng Memorial Hall which was constructed between 1912 and 1949 , surrounded by Zhongshan South Road, Aiguo East Road and Xinyi Road is featured with the styles of Chinese classic gardens. It’s painted blue and white, which symbolize freedom and equality.

Surrounded by dense trees and flowers waving in the wind, Zhongzheng Memorial Hall is a very high building around which environment is very good and also there is not much noise. It looks very solemn, with an exhibition room at the ground floor where the cultural relics of Chiang Kai-shek are showed to visitors and on the top floor where there is a bronze statue of his beside which two of guards stand guard and change shifts every two hours. It has become one of the important tourist attractions.

Zhongzheng Memorial Hall is where I visited for the first time in Taipei. It’s quite near to my hotel. It’s only two or three minutes walk. Out of the hotel, I could see its blue dome. The building which looks like Temple of Heaven and also like Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is painted blue and white. We all know that the covering area is broad and it’s so extensive that it’s incredible. The buildings around it are shorter, but we could have a bird's-eye view of landscapes around, standing on those buildings. The main gate is at Freedom Square where there are the National Music Hall and Opera House.

what is interesting is that the square looks a little bit like Wuyi Square in a mainland city. On that day, I run into a group of school students came to visit Freedom Square. As I was ready to take a photo of it, I heard from the distance a cheer from them. They looks a bit younger and are probably at the age between fifteen and seventeen. My tour in Taipei ended with visiting Zhongzheng Memorial Hall and Freedom Square.

  • Yaoli Ancient Town in Jiangxi Yaoli Ancient Town in Jiangxi Province

    • From: x123456
    • Description:

Located in the northeast of the Jingdezhen Ancient Town in Jiangxi Province, Yaoli which is well-known for porcelains is a tourist attraction with national AAAAA level , a national forest park, a famous ancient town, and also a historical and cultural protection site, covering an area of 195 square kilometers. The climate is very pleasant in four seasons in the scenic area where there are more than 94 percent of dense forests, and more than 180 kinds of rare animals and plants, such as maidenhair trees, Chinese torreya trees, leopards, giant salamanders and so on..

In the early morning in winter, it’s very freezing. One day, one idea came across my mind that I would like to experience a primitive life and folk customs by leaving the busy city for a small ancient town in Jiangxi Province. Having lived in the city for a long time, sometimes I just want to leave there for some time and give myself a holiday. In an ancient town in Jiangxi, there are many beautiful landscapes.

Perhaps, few of people know about the ancient town Yaoli, but most of them heard about Jaingnan. If someone wants to find a quiet and beautiful ancient town to visit, actually it’s not difficult so long as you look for it hard. The ancient town Yaoli is the one you may look for.

In my mind, Yaoli is a name full of dreams for me and also a place mysterious I look forwards to visiting.

From what I know about why it’s mysterious, it lies at the fact that the ancient town Yaoli is a very tranquil place with a very long history, where buildings are those built in Ming and Qing Dynasties and also there is a river called Yao River, which is a water source of the town.

For the ancient town, it has a lot of history stories. While walking in the gallery of a building of Ming and Qing Dynasties at the banks of Yao River, I felt a wind was coming to me, with overhanging eaves, ancient walls, black tiles, and mountains around me reflected on the river, as if I had traveled back to the past of thousand years ago.

In the early morning, the sun is shinning on the town. Listening to streams and standing on a single-plank bridge, I was watching women were washing clothes at the river and heard music coming from those ancient houses from time to time. It’s just like an idyllic scene.

The US Botanical  Garden on Maryland Ave in Washington DC is full of Christas cheer.  Every Tuesday/Thursday they stay open late and offer musical performances.  The night I went, the musical quartet started in the performance space, but then went from room to room, bringing seasonal sounds throughout the Botanic Gardens.
