Another shot of the highway system in Shanghai. No matter where you are in the city, you can't miss the blue glow of all the major roadways.
One of China's most premire pedestrian shopping streets, Nanjing is busy all day and night with tourists and locals looking for a good deal.
As often happens, we were trying to get a different shot when this one presented itself. For weeks, we've been trying to get a great shot of the Golden Gate Bridge, but the weather just really wouldn't cooperate. On this day, we had been to a friends afternoon party on Potrero Hill and as we were driving home to the East Bay we had planned to head over to the GG Bridge and see if we could get a shot. But we had stayed too late to make it over to the GG by sunset. Still, the evening was spectacular -- mild and with an indigo sky that is rare for San Francisco. So we stopped off at the Embarcadero and spent a wonderful hour or two shooting the SF skyline and the Bay Bridge, which connects San Francisco and the East Bay. (May 2010)
A glass bridge lit with neon, this is another sight along the riverside of Guilin.
We couldn't find a western toilet in any of the restaurants, in Yang Shuo, China, but I guess that's because they were in street?
Thousands of people clamored for a picture of Shanghai's iconic skyline at The Bund. In order to get to the front, you have to be willing to push, shove and elbow your way through men, women and children of all ages. Be prepared to get shoved back!
