Budget holidays in Maldives. M Budget holidays in Maldives. Maafushi island.
- From: Katerina9
-
Description:
Maldives was my dream and the dream of my husband. We did not have the money to Resort but wanted to go on Maldives, especially that we were very close before on Sri Lanka. The first trip turned out to be completely random manner. At that time was no any information about Maafushi. We went at our own risk. Since then we sick Maafushi, Maldives, Summer villa guest house, and as you know, been there 2 times already, and probably will go again. It really is a great opportunity to realize dream about Maldives.
About the hotel. Hotel Summer villa guest house is the second time the appearance of the hotel on the island. A cozy place. To be honest, I examined in detail on this island, the benefit was a lot of time there. And when the question arose to what hotel to choose, my husband said unequivocally Summer villa guest house and I myself did not want to go anywhere else. You feel yourself in his hotel like in your cottage in the Maldives, it is true! You will see yourself. They organize excellent excursions. Rooms were spacious and furnished with a large soft bed and bedside tables, a large wardrobe with a wooden safe inside, a dressing table with bench, fridge, powerful AC, fans, etc. Every room had a private toilet and shower with hot water. Soap and shampoo were a kind of pleasant surprise for guests. Bed sheets and pillowcases were changed regularly. Room was very clean and cozy.
There are soap and shampoo in bathroom. No hair dryer. Staff cares for you if you are like the owner of this house and they are your staff. :))) Really nice! And that's without tips! Excuse me for my emotions and my English.
I do not remember. I'm on a business trip, and my checks have remained at home. About 45 or 50 dollars a night double room + Bed Tax $ 8 per person per sukta + 6% per room per night service charge + 10% tax. Total 45 8 8 4.5 2.7 = 68.2 dollars. All taxes are required for the entire Maldives, and the same everywhere.
Dinner is $ 7 per person buffet. With the dessert. By candlelight. Very romantic! Breakfast is included in the price. Lanch on request. You can order a la carte. You can buy at the store on their own products at low prices and in the kitchen for tourists to eat. This added convenience for me there. There is hot water kettle, toaster, tea and coffee free, dishes. You can do everything that you want. Complete freedom, just like at home. You can eat at other hotels or cafes. But it is not safe. All experienced myself. Tourists from another hotels comes to eat in Summer villa.
It is a great choice for the tourists that want "budget holidays". Resort rest (15$ all day with lunch), the snorkeling, fishing from boat, swimming with manta ray and dolphins , a picnic on a deserted island, rest on a small beach in the middle of the ocean (a small island, where nothing except sand), a concert of national culture and etc. I can write in more detail later. Everything is different, depending on the situation. On average, the basic tour cost 10-20 dollars per person, there's something for free. All in different ways. Above all, there are a lot of competition, and prices fell.
Maafushi it is a small island two kilometers on one and a half kilometers, so you can see the ocean from any place on the island. There are no proper beaches and reefs, hotels, all common use.
There are two beaches on Maafushi on opposite sides of the island. The reef is located in the old beach, if you walk away from Summer villa on the left. You must walk on the snow-white sand in shallow water a few meters long and there begins a good riff. Steep wall of coral and fish. I saw there a huge turtle, eagle rays (very nice!), Dolphins and groups of all kinds of fishes. It should carry with them flippers necessarily because it is the ocean, and without them hanging like an empty bottle. They can be rented at the hotel or if you are traveling for 10 days or more, the better to buy in the store for 125 rufees, which we did. All beaches on Maafushi good but not like on Resorts. Walk from Summer villa to the both beaches spend several minuets. - Blog post

At the heart of Sydney – Australia’s oldest, largest and most diverse city – is the outrageously good-looking Sydney Harbour. Like a psychedelic supermodel, the city curves and sways through this glamorous maze of sandstone headlands, lazy bays and legendary surf beaches.
There are also several fantastic places to snorkel or scuba dive with so many reefs teeming with a variety of colorful fish. There are scuba diving courses that are easily accessible for travelers that allow you to get your diving certificate.
As a tourist, you will never have a hard time finding something to entertain you. For one, there is usually an ongoing festival or sale in Sydney. If you are a tourist traveling alone, you are usually safe. However, it would still be a good idea to have a travel buddy who will keep a watchful eye on you and him on you.
Everybody seems to be outside – the beaches are swarming, street cafés buzz and the harbour blooms with sails. The best thing about Sydney is that its wealth of public spaces, interesting markets, and character-rich neighborhoods allow you to leave your room without any plan at all, sure to stay sportively occupied until long after dark.
For Travel to Sydney,You can take any Flights to Sydney or you can also visit http://www.ticketstoworld.co.uk/Flights/Sydney.aspx for your travelling details about Sydney.
The extensive wildlife of Sydney can be seen in the different parks and zoos in Sydney. There is more to Sydney than a kangaroo. Hopefully you have a better idea of Sydney now.

Description:
Tobago.....all natural...nothing artificial added
Tobago is Trinidad's sister island at the bottom of the Caribbean chain just a few miles off the coast of Venezuela. While Trinidad is industrialized and heavily populated, Tobago is vastly a nature lover's eco-friendly paradise. Many travelers go there purposely to escape the mega-resorts that pamper tourists and have a dress code for meals. Travel lighter with just swimsuits, lightweight shirts, shorts, flip flops, walking shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, bug spray and your camera.
Flying to Tobago ( Crown Point International Airport ) is easy on the weekly direct flight out of Atlanta on Delta Air Lines. It's also possible to fly from Houston, Miami or New York through Trinidad which may require an overnight stay before taking the 20 minute $24 each way flight or 2 1/2 hour ferry ride across.
Tobago is a land of world famous dive sites with the world's largest brain coral at the Coral Gardens dive site, manta rays, sharks, turtles and ship wrecks to explore underwater. The island's waters are crystal clear allowing snorkelers to examine the coral reefs and sea life below. Bird watchers can find 200+ species of birds in Tobago, 22 of which are found there but not in Trinidad. Many rare species live on Little Tobago, a small island a mile offshore of northeast Tobago. One of the best areas to explore all these outdoor pursuits is Speyside at the northeast tip of Tobago.

Speyside is an hour from the airport on roads with hairpin turns perched on cliffs directly above the Atlantic Ocean that are only wide enough for one lane of traffic in some spots. The ocean views are spectacular if your stomach is up to the ride! Along the way you pass through the villages of Belle Gardens, Glamorgan and Roxborough with street names like Toad St., Union St., Doctor Rd. and Coconut Drive. There are tightly packed brightly colored houses with laundry hanging out to dry, some built precariously on the steep hillside and appear ready to slip into the ocean far below.
On most buildings the establishment names are hand painted with some misspelled like Triplle A Market and Bread Shak but since Tobagonians are unpretentious it doesn't matter. You'll see the locals socializing, called "liming", in the streets or on front porches and they never walk into a room without the customary "Good Morning" or "Good Afternoon" to everyone that is there. Locals honk "hello" when passing on the road and it's common to see vehicles stop in the middle of the road to chat.If you're an experienced scuba diver or want to learn then see Sean Robinson who runs Tobago Dive Experience in Speyside. He's been in the business for more than 25 years and is well respected in dive circles throughout the world. Sean has hosted and collaborated with Sport Diver magazine and the BBC to produce documentaries and articles on diving in Tobago and is active in reef conservation efforts. Vidya, from Trinidad, is director of the dive company and will set up excursions, airport transfers and even help with booking airfare.
You can stay at Sean's family's adjoining 22 room hotel called Manta Lodge. It's a no frills, no fuss dive hotel where you'll meet travelers from just about everywhere and enjoy some really fresh local food cooked by Eddie. Have Arthur take you fishing and then enjoy your grilled catch for dinner with a bottle or two of Carib or Stag, the beers of Trinidad and Tobago. At Manta Lodge wearing your swimsuit or shorts is fine for meals and shoes are even optional. There is a stretch of black sand beach across from the hotel facing Goat Island and Little Tobago. Goat Island was at one time the home of Ian Fleming of 007 fame and some of his books were penned there. His home sits at the base of the island. Spend some time in a glass bottom boat and head out that way. If you're diving try the dive site 007 right behind the island. As you sit on the beach the village of Speyside is to your right with fishing boats anchored out in the water and homes built up into the hillside.
To the left is jagged coastline with coconuts trees hanging out over the water and swaying in the warm breeze. A few boulders sit out in the splashing water resembling scenes from a movie. You may see a local Coconut Man walking along the beach wearing knee-high rubber boots with a rope tied to his shorts for shimmying up the tree, a large machete to cut down the coconuts and a bag to carry them.Around the corner from the Manta Lodge is the site of an old plantation with the original waterwheel from 1834. The iron is rusty but the mechanism is still mostly in one piece.
There is still a stray bit of cotton growing nearby. The skeleton of an old footbridge over a dry creek bed is barely visible through the thick foliage of the rainforest. The area is overgrown and virtually forgotten but if you look closely and walk alongside the remains of the old stone walls of the Bird of Paradise Inn you can imagine how beautiful this area must have been long ago when it was a functioning plantation growing sugar cane, cocoa, cotton, coconut and other fruit trees. This idyllic scene borders the Atlantic Ocean on the north end of Speyside. So for your next vacation why not forget the cruise ship and mega resort crowds and have your own adventure in Tobago as nature always intended.

This is a photo I took off the island of Moorea with an underwater camera I bought before my honeymoon. My husband and I went on this great all day boat tour with this hysterical French/Rastafarian tour guide. When we got to one of the reefs for snorkeling, the sharks had been following the boat for quite a while. Many of the other families and couples on the boat were too scared to get in the water with them, but I was like "Whatever, how many articles have you seen about tourists getting devoured by sharks in Tahiti and Moorea?" Then I dove in and my husband followed!
