Goya Goya

Description:

Description:
I saw this woman tending her land in a small village in Cambodia. Land in Southeast Asia is very sacred. It is a link to one's ancestors who also lived on the land and cultivated it. This picture was taken when I was on a small excursion off of the Pandaw. The Pandaw is a teak paddle boat which is a wonderful way to see life on the Mekong River. Life in SE Asia is life on this important river.

Mt. Rainier was the 4th stop on my Summer 2009 "This Sure Beats Working" tour. I spent two days in Mt. Rainier, SE of Seattle in Washington State in late August 2009.
Mt. Rainier is one of my absolute favorite places in the world. I lived outside of Seattle in the 1980s and visited Rainier countless times, but this was my first visit in many many years - and I hit it on some incredibly nice days. - 3 years ago
